Let me catch everyone up on the general. I have now completed 3 of the 4 main body chapters (rough drafts) and will begin the last one this week. After that is the Introduction, then the pre chapter stuff, followed by cycles of editing. So, its likely two more weeks until I begin teaching a lab section for the community college, and probably less than that before I need to prepare. I believe I will try and dress up for the class, at least the first day. I have a new shirt the hopefully fits me, and I can buy some button extenders for my other shirt. Well, another few weeks have past and little has been done on the actual writing front. Now this isn't to say that work has not been done. So, I have been struggling to push through what hopefully will be my last summer ever as a graduate student. I hope that after all this I get the degree. So, I shaved this morning. I decided to take the puck of glycerin shave soap out of the mug and just apply it to the brush by hand. The puck is starting to lose its middle but have its outside still there, sort of like a candle. Anyway, I obtained a decent lather and shaved away. So, this evening I watched this movie I bought awhile ago called "Ghangis Kahn: To the Ends of Earth and Sea." It was apparently a Japanese-Mogolian co-production that was about the life of Temujin, who eventually was called Genghis Kahn. It was very good and very dramatic. Well, today I helped my dad walk the dogs on the near by community college campus. I would enjoy working there some day. Of course, I wouldn't mind a four year university position either.
